Kirstie Ennis said she suffered low self-esteem after she was was injured in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan and later had her leg amputated. But a recent shoot for an annual calendar has turned that around.

After helicopter crash, Marine veteran shares her road to recovery and new mission
Kirstie Ennis is a retired U.S. Marines sergeant who served two deployments to Afghanistan. On a routine mission in 2012, she was in a plane crash that caused her to lose her left leg. Ennis is currently trying to climb the seven summits, and she’s also on the month of June in the Pin-Ups For Vets calendar, hoping to inspire others.
