Garbagewoman Who Works As Street Sweeper During The Day Has Double Identity As Beauty Queen

I grew up living right near a Department of Sanitation station in New York City, so I’ve been around garbagemen my entire life.

But in the video below, you’re going to be introduced to one of the unlikeliest garbagemen you’ll ever meet. Or rather, a garbagewoman!

Nicole Doz is an avid beauty pageant competitor, one with many wins under her belt. But winning competitions doesn’t always pay the bills. So, like many people chasing a dream, Nicole has a day job.

And what does she do? She works for the Department of Sanitation as a garbage collector!

Now, sanitation departments have long been a “boys club,” of sorts, but Nicole not only works as a garbagewoman, she excels!

According to her boss, Nicole — the only woman in her unit — is one of the best employees in the department. Her daily duties include driving a large street sweeper and making sure the city streets stay clean and devoid of garbage.

And if you ask her, the uniform is a lot more comfortable than her pageant gowns, though maybe not as glamorous!

Ultimately, Nicole chose this career path to follow in the footsteps of her dad, who also works for the Department of Sanitation.
