Maybe we need to switch to failing conservative/republican policies? The two parties are two sides of the same coin. The bicameral system will always purposely fail. Getting the sleep out of your eyes yet?

Shreveport, La is ran by a Democrat Mayor and had been for a long time. There is high crime, road issues, and the list goes on. Bossier City, La is ran by a Republican and has been for a long time. Less crime and better infrastructure.

I've worked in this industry for 40 years. I've seen may ice storms some tough wind storms and floods. We only disconnected towns during 1 huge flood and that was stop arcing in the buildings as they filled with water. The people in this area know what it's like not to have power for long period of time. Most people have good sized generators run by good size tractors and they are all glad to see the big trucks heading their way and commercial power is back on. Gas or fuel powered generators are expensive to run when they use 10 gal an hour or more.

I have a generator. I rigged it to run on gas, propane or natural gas. I can light the house and run the fridge/freezer as well as light the house. It doesn’t require anywhere near 10 gal/.hour.

Most are running heat with it as well, generator used are around 20kw or bigger and most are pto driven requiring a 75hp or larger tractor to run. We ran a 35kw self contained [352 ford engine] for 6 days once and filled it twice a day[ 50 gallons} It wasn't cheap but kept some power on. served about 7 customers. With lite loads does't take much with heating it takes more and 20kw will just barely handle a local load.

The point being driven is the failed green energy and they have to resort to fossil fuels.
