It would seem to me that likely most Russian ground forces committed to the war are no longer capable of conducting normal offensive operations. What is also interesting to me is the capabilities of Ukrainian forces. The Ukrainian OpSec has been much better but I suspect they may be in the same position.

You're probably right on same position but for the Ukrainian forces new weapons are coming while the Russians just have their questionable reserve weapons coming. Probably why Putin went to Iran.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - For the Ukrainians, I think their big issue is going to be on the people side. Not that they don't have a lot of morale and good quality western equipment, but more of training and force cohesion. If they have had significant personnel losses, that has to have taken a hit. Perhaps we will see a period of low tempo operations while both sides address that.
One of the advantages I do think they still have though, is I've seen no evidence of the decimation of Ukrainian military leadership like we've seen happen to the Russians.
