I absolutely agree with this. As the 1st Sgt for Co D, 1st RTBn, I constantly had to tell my Drill Instructors to put their damn phones away. I even had one tell me it was for safety and he got pissed that I reminded him that actually the VF radios and handhelds were for safety. When the largest electromagnetic signature is the berthing spaces, we have a problem. What are your thoughts on this?
General: Marines, put down those cell phones!

I've told my Soldiers COUNTLESS times that if I see their phones out for anything other than work related, I will confiscate them until the end of the business day. And I have done it. Multiple times.

I agree. If I was active, I'd go ballistic. How did we do it before mobile phones? Keep charging you FIRST LINE LEADERS. Don't let those mobile phones run your troops.
