WARNING: If you embellish your military records, you will get found out. There are people out there that make it their mission to expose fakes, frauds, and Stolen Valor. If you run for public office, and you have lied about yourself, you will be found out. This jerk didn't think about that I guess. You won't believe his answers.
George Rosario is running for mayor in Groveland, Florida. He claims to be a veteran of 21 years. According to the Orlando Sentinel, he also claimed to have been awarded the Purple Heart and two Bronze Star Medals for his time in Desert Storm on his website (which is mysteriously altered from the Sentinel’s version now).

I figured that being as I applied for the Purple Heart, I would of course receive the award. Yes indeed, that is how things work in the real world.
