A child's artwork that does not depict pornography, hatred, or violence is of no consequence, that is a shame. I have neighbors that are Gay, they don't ask for any special treatment, and that is the way it should be. Let everyone alone as long as they are not hurting anyone else and being descent people.

Context is key. And not offered here.
*IF* there is a policy about displaying political signs, banners, artwork, or the like, then I can see removing the political artwork. And when asked why, I can also see the administration defending the decision stating that political artwork is not allowed. They can no more allow pro-gay art than they can allow a Nazi flag. Political is political.
I am not defending the decision. Nor am I defending the comparison. But I am not ready to burn the school down in protest, yet, either. Context is key. And not offered here.
Let's not rush to judge without all of the facts.
