This is why identities are a very important thing when dealing with immigration, refugees, and crime. I worked in corrections and we had a notable few who, for some reason or another, did not have a name. Either they gave a fake name at arrest, didn't remember, or had no ID. In those instances they were just "John Doe" until their IDs could be verified.

Apparently he was the only one. News articles I find say 11 injured. The most curious thing is the fire started in HIS cell. My immediate guess is he made some enemies inside.

A 26-year-old inmate suffered serious burns after a fire broke out in his cell at a prison in the western German town of Kleve. Although the cause of the fire is still unknown, the head of the prison ruled out suicide.
