I was a parole officer in the 90's and criminals were the best source for intel, nothings happens that a criminal does not know about it first.

(Join to see) - Criminals play by their rules which they make up as they need and bend and break too as they need, while every one else plays by written rules even the Infidel State has rules, that is why during WWII the OSS worked with the Mafia as we went into Italy. perhaps we need criminals in charge to deal with the terrorist.

How does any government or entity protect this backdoor from release? Government secrets are intentionally released or hacked regularly. If this is permitted no one will be safe on the Internet. This is a BAD idea.

Nope cause the internet is never safe, so always assume it is not and be careful with which work computer is on the net.

This is like outlawing the payment of ransom to stop kidnapping

Outlawing payments work for a time, until they start sending you fingers, and ears and other minor body parts, which forces family members to pay.. You can not stop kidnappings. Hell even kidnappers get kidnapped.
