This is the same grip I use, am right handed and instead of locking my left elbow straight out, I lock and roll it up to prevent weapon movement that much more, am watching people spray out entire mags and still be deadly accurate in very little time.

I think a decent handgun comes with pretty good grips. While there is room for improvement, I get concerned with too many additions, in the event I use it for self-defense. In many cases, the prosecution will nitpick anything you add to try to portray you as "trigger happy", to include the ammunition you use. Things like lighter triggers, for example, may paint you as just looking to shoot someone, rather than needing to defend yourself. About the only things I will add are a rail mounted light, and night sights, since statistically most defense shootings occur during hours of low visibility. Also, those additions can be explained as being a safety measure, i.e. threat assessment, positive identification of said threat, and locating a backstop in the event force on force is required.
I use a Sig P226, Beretta 92A1, and sometimes (in the summer mostly) a Glock 26, though I'm not a huge Glock fan. All of those come with decent grips.
Something else to consider is that if you use your firearm in self-defense, all the money you spent on 'upgrades' will be in police custody, with your weapon, for a decent amount of time.

If I'm in say... Wally World and some lunatic strolls in and starts firing, yeah you could say I'm gonna get all trigger happy and want to end that individual with a very obvious prejudice, anything I add to my side arm such as a better trigger would only help me put more lead into said lunatic faster and stop the threat faster, in today's society we are forced to deal with fanatics who use every opportunity available to cry and point fingers at others because it offends them that others are better in life than they are. I understand your point and all and am not in any way taking anything from your comment, was a good read, it's just sad that one has to look at things such as this and ponder if it would be even worth drawing your side arm in fear of the repercussions of saving someone's life. Me I'll never think twice about it and don't care how many times someone tried to defend the actions of a killer.
