With Halloween approaching tomorrow night and there may be some "witches and wizards" about I thought I would relate the story of one Giles Corey who was the Father-in-law of PO2 Richard Cole and my 8th great-grandfather William Cleaves. The period of Feb. 1692 and May 1693 was a dark period for Massachusetts. @

I wanted to add that the main character in Arthur Millers play "The Crucible" was based on a composite of Giles Corey and John Proctor a great uncle of those times.
