Good-bye to cabin life: U.S. government tells owners in U.P. to leave

I can understand why they are upset. BUT the lease is up and they won't renew. It's pretty cut and dry. Doesn't make it right but it is what it is.

That's the area I was raised. Ontonagon County, spent time at a friends hunting camp every year I could. Hauling firewood, fishing the river, watching nature, listening to the coyotes howl at night, the owls hooting, hunting deer and partridge.
The camp had no running water, no electricity, an outhouse (which wasn't fun to use in Nov.)
Lots of good memories at hunting camp. The camp was located off of Choate road in Ewen.
