"Amazing Grace" isn't just the title of a popular hymn. It is the sobriquet lovingly bestowed on an American Rear Admiral who was truly "Amazing". A brilliant pioneering computer scientist, she is just one of many American women who contributed much to the advancement of what is arguably the most significant of all sciences upon which science, commerce, and all communications rely.
