I had a neat opportunity to talk one on one with then MAJ McMaster about the battle. He was incredibly humble. Everything was "we". Very little was "I".

I got to know General McMaster well after the Battle of 73 Easting, when he was LTC McMaster Commander of 3/4 Cav in Schweinfurt, and he was (and I believe still) always held in the highest regard by his Soldiers and Soldiers of other units. A real "Soldiers Soldier", as they used to say. I've no doubt that he will be a positive driving force in the new administration.
