Science is about questions and continuing research all sides. Remember, Coffee is good ...or bad this week.

Lack of consensus amongst scientists is nothing new, even Galileo had to go through being shunned by fellow scientists.

yes, they don't burn at the stake like back then though they think that they are the pope and man made climate change is the center of the universe, they just say go work as a claims adjuster instead or go work for NOAA but leave our university! You are a heretic and you are an insult to our profession!!

Opinion in science doesn't matter a whole lot anymore. It is documenting experimental evidence in ways that other experimenters can try for themselves and get the same or similar results that wins approval and prevents your published journal article from being withdrawn.
An example of an effect that is provable about burning coal -and the result varies with how much modern technology a coal power plant is using to scrub some particles from the smokestacks - is monitoring air particles near and downwind, and how it is different, and how for example the acidity of rain changes in proportion to coal ash particles, to show that there are sometimes serious impacts on forest health on mountains this air passes over.
Global warming is far more complicated, but it is about thousands or tens of thousands of ongoing experiments every year. I would not have an opinion about global warming if I had not been reading for years, and before the Internet - Scientific American and other magazines what experiments are going on. Safir Rahndom I'll cut Al Gore some slack considering he's the only VP I've ever shook hands and chatted with. Just remember he invented the internet. :-)
