Foolish to go Grippen over the bees, since they already have all the infrastructure and training they need for them...but, really, can you blame them? The f-35 is a pig.

I stood next to one of them at the museum of science and industry in Los Angeles. I guess it was the Dodge Challenger Hellcat of fighter planes but since it was not a Porsche or Ferrari the 2nd and 3rd world countries refused to buy it and wanted the F-15/F-16s instead.

Just always struck me as rather a silly viewpoint, being as I gather it apparently seemed to work as well as it did, from what I'd read, that's all, just an observation....

Where the Super Hornet has the advantages of range, ordinance, and logistics support over the Saab 39, the Swedish aircraft is far less expensive to operate. Besides, Canada, in my opinion, better serves the global community by keeping to themselves. No need for a power projection capability, just self defense. Having the Hornet or F35 is overkill.
