Perhaps, routine screening like this is seldom cost effective. Some of the EKG changes are very subtle. Other times, unless the heart is being stressed no sign of a cardiac problem will be observed. Then you run into false positives. I get inferior lead ST Depression ( sign of the heart not getting enough oxygen to certain areas) with treadmill EKG. Had a work up and it is a false positive. In many cases EKG’s of themselves aren’t diagnostic .

I said years ago, ECG's should be taken at MEPS and read by qualified Cardiologists. It would not prevent Sudden Death but would identify those at risk. Maybe one day, life will have move value than pee-in-a-bottle.
