Those of us that are on a limited income can occasionally come across a deal we can't pass up. Many years ago I purchased a German made Hawes Western Marshall 44mag used in a pawn shop for $150. Its still in excellent shape and still shoots good. It was made in the 1950's.

Great topic. I am a wheel gun fan from many years ago. My appreciation for S&W runs deep. My first revolver was a S&W 586 (.357 mag) that I carried on duty for many years until the Dept switched to Semi-Autos.
However, my first handgun that I ever owned was a 1911. My daily carry is a Colt Combat Commander though. As much as I love revolvers, semi-autos are more practical for business.
But nothing beats the lines and looks of a nice revolver.
