DAV supports H.R. 210, the Dental Care for Veterans Act. This bill would require the VA Secretary to furnish dental care in the same manner as any other medical service, and defines a 4-year implementation plan beginning with veterans in Priority Groups 1 and 2. Please contact your representatives and urge them to co-sponsor and support this legislation: https://dav.la/HR210.
Currently, the VA only provides full dental care services to a limited number of veterans enrolled in its health care system, which includes those who have a service-connected dental disability, are 100% service disabled and those receiving Total Disability for Individual Unemployability (TDIU). In total, only about 500,000 of the 9 million veteran enrollees in the VA health care system have eligibility for dental care.

LMBO ~~ I Sure Would Have Appreciated Having The Dental Coverage When My Entire Body Was Infected, And Went Undetected Until All My Teeth Fell Out & I Had Emergency Surgery, Followed By Close To The Full Month Of December Hospitalized. Although It Went Undetected At The VA, My Heath Benefits Didn't Cover Dental Care....OOPS ~ YES Guys & Gals, Do What You Can To Get Dental Coverage Included In Your Benefits. Never Know When You'll Need It. ~ And In The Civilian Sector One Dental Crown Will Cost Ya $1,000+ ~ Just Hope Ya Won't Need 2.

I’m sorry Rick. I really understand I’ve decided to have another plan and it takes care of a little of my dental care and that’s OK with me because going to the VA is a headache

SPC (Join to see) hi James, I totally understand. I am dealing with that at the moment Will not go into detail, but dealing with the VA health. It is a bear because it takes forever so I have a supplemental insurance that helps me a little bit. My dentist referred me to an oral surgeon. if they had a veteran discount and I got a huge one

It would be great if they expanded the service. I'm 100% and been waiting 6 months to even get an appointment.

You had it worse than me I did everything to help my back chiropractors massage therapist and I was looking at acupuncture, and I went to see a spinal aid, and that was a chunk of money when I asked my Provider for a referral to have physical therapy it took seven weeks to get there. They were so busy.

That should not happen. There is a time limit before they send you to Community Care.
