why his daughters didn't use financial aid is beyond me...financial aid is available to everyone regardless of credit or income...secondly, private schools are ALWAYS more expensive than public universities...and lastly, I don't know about Nebraska, but in California, and many other states, as long as a veteran's dependent is attending a state supported school, ie UCLA, UCSD, SDSU or any other UC or Cal State University or community college, they qualify for CalVet Tuition Fee Wavier....so in essence they can obtain an undergraduate and graduate degree for free! Well at least the tuition is free...and tuition is the most expensive aspect of education...room and board, fees and books are not covered...but those things can easily be covered by financial aid, scholarships, a part-time job, and the help of the little bit of GiBill/Post 9/11 benefits his daughters are blessed with receiving...unlike all the other students attending school who have ZERO military educational benefits because their parents didn't service...I am so thankful for the educational benefits that I am receiving for myself and my dependents...the amount of financial assistance is STAGGERING compared to the chump change of $1200 I put in over the course of 12 months...Anyone complaining about the education benefits we get as service members, veterans and dependents is complaining just be complaining...When is enough, ENOUGH!? my goodness...quit bellyaching! You obviously joined the Military for the wrong reasons if you are complaining about education benefits for your kids!

these days nothing is in favor of the military. We get screwed at every turn. Because they don't think they need us right now.
