For some reason, these vicious attacks are front page news and when they are proven to be hoaxes (which many of them are), we never hear about it. I'd like to see the data on how many of these stories actually turn out to be hoaxes. Seems there have been a lot of these in the news over the past year or so. Might be time to increase the penalties for this type of behavior. They can have significant consequences if people take to the streets or want revenge.
