Interesting photos of people preparing for a poison gas attack that never came during WWII.
Gas was used during WWI and we have to wonder why Adolf Hitler did not order the use of
poison gas especially near the end of the war when American and Soviet troops were closing
in on Germany. Hitler had a fight to the death and no surrender attitude but did not order the
use of the gas during the war. The kids in school putting on their gas mask reminds me of our
atom bomb drills in school in the 1950's when we thought the Russians were going to nuke us.
