Here’s why it’s a good thing the US military is getting rid of the M14

I am very fond of a M-14. The firearm is a tool the mind is the weapon.

PO1 Tony Holland-great post very informative the era of the M14 seems to be over,but as an old guy I fondly remember learning how to shoot this weapon from Basic on through AIT and Division training which I was luck enough to receive with the 4th Div before we were sent to Vietnam ,now here's the rub after almost a year training with and firing countless rounds down range we were issued that piece of crap M16 that jammed constantly in let's say difficult situations something we never experienced at Fort Lewis Wa.which has its share of bad weather and terrain conditions so I'll have to say goodby to my trusty old M14.

Most interesting... I always liked the M-14 The AR-10 are too hard to get Hold of... maybe they will be easier now...
