Very interesting! Refreshing to hear the views of different people with different ideas and different purposes. However, in my view, this information, as interesting as it was, still does not answer the original question The question was "WHY" and the answers skirted around that stark on short word question. All the discussion really does is make the suggestion/accusation of a "deep government" even more likely. Political activity, comments, group actions, back-room dealings, and obvious lies uttered by elected people in plain and obvious violation of their sworn Oaths lend a great deal of credence to the "Deep Government" theory. Someone asked the following question, "Do we live in a nation where the well-connected remain wholly insulated from accountability?." For my money we certainly do. As a twenty-year veteran with a top-secret clearance, I have some small knowledge about the rules for handling ANY classified document. There are those, that we know and have proven, that violated those laws repeatedly. Violations for which I would have been put in prison. Yet these people walk free today after years of this knowledge against them. Thousands, to my knowledge, have pleaded for an answer to this travesty, but no-one cares to answer truthfully and completely. The above-mentioned answer about JFK files is a definite clue for me and an answer to the other question. We are living in an era, where a man and his wife are not safe in their homes, and the laws protect those who would break-in and do damage and/or injury, illegal aliens are treated better that American military veterans and the national laws on immigration are ignored and that action is flaunted before the legal US citizens urging them to some militant response so these laws can snap them up and judges with a liberal leaning will decide on the maximum or minimum sentence to impose, depending directly upon their political views or instructions! Such is my personal set of views, and if anyone can PROVE me different, I should be very glad to hear it!
