I know you can't read this, but this is the National Submarine Memorial in Groton. It reads...

"In grateful memory of these submariners who died in the service of their country during World War II. They stand in the unbroken line of patriots who have dared to die that freedom might live. Their final resting places are known only to the Almighty. Their family, friends, living shipmates and future generations should know they will always be remembered. Walk softly, walk softly Stranger. You stand on hallowed ground."

I tear up EVERY TIME I read this. (This time, included...)
