You actually read this? I went past the title "...American Democracy..." an obvious misstatement (we are a Republic) and delved into the first paragraph where she introduced her first lie, "We owe him an open mind..." Really? She and her lackeys went on the attack before the votes were all counted. But, you said I should persist and I did until she opened the old wound of "the unspeakable cruelty that his administration has inflicted on undocumented families arriving at the border, including separating children, some as young as eight months, from their parents." That issue has been shown to be a complete canard. How much further did you want me to go? Okay, one more. The deaths in Puerto Rico... Okay, President Trump's "response" was blamed for the deaths in Puerto Rico. I wish that he had stayed away from numbers. No one yet has the final tally. There are places on that island that could still harbor victims. He should have stayed on point in deflecting blame where it belonged - on local authorities. And, still today, we're discovered caches of emergency supplies that were never delivered to the people as well as uncovering the corruption of those who attempted to deflect attention from themselves by blaming President Trump. Sorry, plead as you might, I can go no further.

Why do you feel it is necessary to always make that remark about a democracy vs a republic? I think everyone here knows what type of government we have. It is a form of democracy, a representative democracy with an elected head of state. Yes, it is a republic, which is a democratic form of government.

MSG Stan Hutchison - No, it is not obvious. Even American political leaders wander the world proclaiming democracy, or we are the defenders of democracy. Ask almost anyone you meet on the street and they'll tell you that we live in a democracy. Words matter until the Left begins redefining them to suit their purposes. Thus, I take the time to defend from encroachments on their meanings intended to subvert and fundamentally change America. And no, I won't stop... (But thank you for noticing)

A democracy is not necessarily a republic, but a republic may be a democracy. Neither word is exclusive.
We live in a representative democracy. We also live in a republic.
We live in a representative democracy. We also live in a republic.

The Clinton cartel is and always has been a threat to the United States, it’s people and the unfortunate few that knew the truth of those nefarious activities.

Upvote for putting article and putting it in context. I don't agree with much of what she says but she is to blame, in part, on how we got here. I'm not a fan of the tea party types either. Thanks for posting this.

LTC (Join to see) I am not a bit fan of either extremes right or left. America is much better off when we can all sit down at the table together.
