With a minor in History and a deep and unquenchable thirst for history of any kind, I now learn that Sally Hemings was hardly the "black slave" that she has long been portrayed as. She was, more accurately, over three-quarters European. I cannot believe how differently she has been portrayed by historians and the Media. What a crock of shit, all this time.

They can be descendants, sure. But the back story is ALL false. That is the issue. I am sick and tired of the manipulation of facts to fit an agenda. It does more damage than it helps. Enter the Native Americans, but I won't go there.
