With all that is going on in the borderland with immigration, detention stories, and tweets about open borders and security; I discovered this bit of history in the latest edition of the Fort Bliss Bugle while working here at Bliss. Just found it very interesting when it comes to a bit of knowledge many Americans have no exposure unless you live in this area.
