Chiefs are the cream of the crop, the best of the best. I made the board 5 times before retiring in 2009, wish I would have stuck it out a little longer to see if I would be selected. Chiefs are and always will be the backbone of the Untied States Navy

SCPO Larry Poffenbarger
Made board 8 years but in 6 of those years 0 openings in my rate. Ninth year there were seven made and I was number two. Only three years later made SC. Retired now for over 25 years and still miss it.
