It isn't just some abstract activists, we have a lawyer here on RP that refuses to acknowledge the fact that were Gonsales/Savala not here those two would still be alive and that his immigration status, consequently, is material in the death of these two men.

I am sure Mr. Gonsales/Savala had dreams. They were likely pickled in the alcohol he appears to recklessly consume but his dreams have turned into a nightmare for those left behind to mourn the loss of the two killed.
He was twice deported and back a third time now and it appears he had an ICE detainer on him too. So he had broken U.S. law at least three times before this deadly and tragic loss of life. All 100% preventable had we had proper border security and the ability to quickly deport people here illegally. These two are just as dead as Kate Stienle and it was just as avoidable as her death as well.
