Holidays can be an especially difficult time for Veterans with PTSD. Along with their other problems, the holidays can get you down, if you let them. My downer, if I let it, is our son that died in 1994. I miss him all the time, but especially the holidays. Some vets with PTSD have a hard time all year, and especially during the holidays. Some have no family, or are living on the streets, or are in the hospital waiting to die.
The holiday season is often difficult for people with PTSD, but there are healthy ways to cope and manage stress.
