There was s similar thing in West Texas called hunt for heroes...it is under the show of support org at http://www.showofsupport.org/. Every year, they would bring in 10-15 wounded veterans to hunt on a ranch in San Angelo Texas. They flew in their wives and kids as well. Everything was donated from a new gun (customed to meet the disability) for each veteran, full camo hunting outfits, three day hunt while the wives who care for these veterans got spa treatments, and a shopping spree...the kids got to either hunt with their dads if they were old enough or they did things with the other kids. They also had a parade through the base at Goodfellow AFB followed by a parade through the streets of San Angelo where the streets were lined with grateful Americans cheering them on...the first night, people from the base were invited to attend a barbecue at the hunting ranch and visit with these folks...tear jerking and heart warming patriotic event. Recommend you go tot he website above and check it out. All of these are great orgs and thank you for supporting them.
