In 1975, NGAUS established the National Guard Educational Foundation (NGEF) as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. The National Guard Educational Foundation’s mission is to tell the Guard’s story. It is governed by a board of 13 elected members and the NGEF Bylaws.

I’ve been a member of this organization, SSG Shavonde Chase. When I was in the ALARNG, commanders suggested (I use the word jokingly) ALL officers to participate annually (state and national). No one even considered not joining.
