"to amass secret dossiers on Americans in Portland attending anti-racism protests in summer 2020 "

Reminds me of the '60's and MLK, Jr. and the anti-war movement.

True. I think some people want fascism as long as it applies to the people they don't like and not them.

Maj (Join to see) - They do not realize that when a person is given the power, it will include them.
Everyone should keep in mind:
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

MSG Stan Hutchison - I think of that poem often. As a white, straight, raised religious, military veteran, male, I know I have alot going for me. But I also have friends who are in groups that are despised by significant numbers of their fellow citizens for silly reasons. Just talking about The Handmaids Tale with my fiance was eye opening to get the woman's perspective. It didn't matter that she was educated and successful in her career, in their eyes her only purpose was in procreation.

SFC Bernard Walko 13 h
Maj Christopher Wright - Article Quote: “Of the 8,700 protest events reported by MCCA members, 3,692 involved unlawful acts of civil disobedience. Five hundred of these occurred in a single city. Eight of the reporting cities—Columbus, Denver, Detroit, Memphis, Portland, Sacramento, San Diego, and Tucson—said that every protest during the May 25 to July 31 period involved unlawful but non-violent acts. Some of these protests may have also involved violence. MCCA reports that 574 of the protests it studied involved violence. One city accounted for 100 of these riots.”

If the DHS, FBI, CIA, and everyone else doesn’t have dossiers on all these people they are completely incompetent and/or political hacks. If what you are saying is true then special Law Enforcement Crisis Management Teams immediately need to be placed in charge of all applicable law enforcement and intelligence agencies, determine quickly why they aren’t doing their jobs, and effect the solutions as responsibly and quickly as possible. These agencies not doing their jobs quickly and effectively is a danger to our National Security. MHO

--- Civil disobedience does not equal terrorist. "Antifa" is not an organization. It's a movement. It has no central structure or anyone peopl report to. It's just a movement, an ideology. They're just against facsism. That's something that I feel like even you people used to be against at one point.

Also Bernard - by what definition is BLM and Antifa terrorists?

I agree. I highly doubt there is an Antifa HQ with officers and membership roles. At a certain point I don't want to argue any longer, though. People have their beliefs and they only listen to respond, not to understand.

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff - I enjoy having conversations with those I do not always agree with, so that's disappointing to hear. There are a few on here that get a bit foamy at the mouth when you challenge their beliefs. Outside of the political topics, though, most are pretty smart and have something to add to the conversation from their own experience. I wish that would apply in the political discussions, though. So many take their opinions as facts and don't even truly understand why they hold their own opinions. I see alot of the older generation's rush to call anything they don't like communism, socialism, or even woke, stemming from that red scare, us-versus-them indoctrination they had as kids. Most of us younger folks have lived in a different world with different problems that can't be solved by John Wayne-isms. The problems are complex and multi-faceted and won't be solved by "one simple trick". If they could, we would have done it. Today's problems are more nuanced and complex and society is vastly different than it was in the 50s, 60s, and 70s. We aren't going to solve problems the same way we did before.

Another one for the "every accusation is a confession" list. The fear and hatred they sow hurts everyone, them included. I wish we could find another way to unite ourselves that doesn't involve us-vs-them.
