Shoot... around here I don't know if I'd trust hospital security to put up much of a fight. Thankfully I haven't experienced anything in my visits, but I have a friend who was a nurse here for 20 or so years and she always carried a scalpel in her pocket just in case. Gangs are the biggest threat to hospitals in this area.

SSG (Join to see) - Great People working in Our Hospitals here but it is an environment ripe for anything and everything. We have the Main Teaching Hospitals here with a Lot of Foreign Medical Students, A Great Deal come from Muslim Countries. We have the Folks from the Rural Environment coming here to the Big City for Specialized Treatment and they are Scared and Confused. We Have Our Night People (EDPs) Emotionally Disturbed People (Should be in a Mental Hospital but will Probably End Up in Prison since there are Very Few Resources) and Junkies that have Self Medicated too Hard and Too Often.
