Just another update on this latest this latest initiative. I am still not sure where I stand on this. But, I do believe the military is a place where all should be welcome, if your pull your load. The non-deployable issue, is a real issue for leaders.... That is what we do....

Ultimately, the overall needs of the service are Paramount. These decisions are best handled by the defense department, not agenda driven political meddling.
This is such a complex and specialized procedure I am not certain that the defense department or Veterans Administration could handle it properly.
I really believe a civilian specialist with hundreds or even thousands of these procedures under their belt would be the best choice of a surgeon.
And not all service members necessarily want to opt for this procedure.
Perhaps this should be covered under Champus, the service provided by a civilian surgeon, which costs about $15,000.
