Got to witness that during a stop at a small outpost somewhere between FOB Phoenix and BAF while hitching a ride on a Blackhawk. Was actually one of the most interesting experiences of a very boring deployment. Because I had followed Michael Yon's work in the early days of the war, I actually thought of him while watching it. I couldn't remember what he called it though.

Michael Yon had some spectacular photographs of this and many other war subjects. Unfortunately, he lost his imbed status when he showed photos of IED pressure triggers the enemy made out of Styrofoam and bare wires. It was not like he was teaching them anything they didn't already know.
