How America's sexual harassment reckoning affects all workplaces

It seems that some men in this country want to infantilize women like we can’t all speak for ourselves and can’t take care of ourselves. Attention male “feminists”. Please don’t think you speak for me. The comments that some male “feminists” make when presented with a view from a female like me is to say that I am brain washed or of low intelligence. I can assure you that nothing is farther from the truth. I am neither of those. “Females” are not one giant monolithic group. We are all individuals with our own separate personalities, strengths and views on life.

I have personally expeirienced sexual harrassment at work and my company dealt with it. I have personally experienced MST. I think this lets me speak pretty well from a knowledgeable position. This #metoo crap nauseates me. This is NOT the way to fix anything. I do not view all men as potential predators. What passes for sexual harrassment to some people also nauseates me. Comments that are not remotely sexual in nature are viewed by some social justice warriors as offensive and then innocent men are considered guilty until proven innocent and even beyond that. Attention thin skinned women: you cannot demand equality and special treatment at the same time. You cannot say that a woman is the same as a man and then demand to be allowed to reschedule your PT test because of your monthly cycle (I have seen other females do this personally). I have worked in male dominated career fields my entire adult life. Most of my friends are men. I have busted my ass to not to be know as a female engineer but just an engineer. I have read the “google memo” and did not find it offensive. Actually, I have observed many of the principles stated in it during my time in industry.

The problem here is, as has been true in past social uprisings, it has already turned into a witch hunt, completely out of control and without objectives other than to hurt everyone in sight, guilty or not. It is the nature of the beast and right now every man in the country is hiding out of sight and out of range hoping something that happened a century and a half ago could be misinterpreted whether innocently or with Malice will come back to bite him on the butt. Not that the far left feminists aren't already sitting in their dens giggling about the discomfort of the entire male population of America and toasting each other about their success, earned or not.
