How American Politics Went Insane

Blame the victim? Well, why not? We the People have precisely the government we deserve. As it says in the Declaration of Independence, "...whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government..." But we don't, do we. So, We deserve precisely what we have. We've demeaned and disgraced so many good candidates that no one in their right mind would want to run. Doesn't that help explain our current crop of candidates?
