How Do I Know If I Smell Bad?

I remember spending some time with eighty nine other guys(that was the size of my company in Vietnam) and getting off the choppers after a couple of weeks in the jungles of the Central Highlands and the base camp personnel saying we smelled to the high heavens,we of course never noticed,off to the showers we went,they had to burn our jungle fatigues!
