f You would have had a harder time winning the war if we only had 35% of our aircraft and serviceable condition because of lack of spare parts. this only happened in the last 8 years

I do not believe we would have the resources to maintain a long war, with anyone. We have to import far too much. We are not the self-sufficient nation we were in 1941. Yes, we are strong. But how long could we last?
