I understand the concern, as this sort of subversion is a classic Russian ploy. But if you look at it in total, what it looks like is that all these business operations that emerged after the breakup of the USSR were looking for places to invest, and Trump was one of them. The deals in and of themselves were perfectly legal. To prove some wrongdoing, you'd have to tie this investment to some kind of money laundering, AND prove Trump had personal knowledge that he was laundering money for mafia interests.
They didn't prove squat in regard to any of that. Hence the fizzle on any of this being a thing when Impeachment Articles were produced by the House.
