I would have said the same thing I think....First of all, I'm sick to death of these protesters! And what they did at this HERO'S ceremony was wrong! They couldn't wait till afterwards?! Self-center! Sorry, for venting but I live in the Bay Area and had witnessed a man die because he couldn't get to a hospital in time because these a-holes wouldn't let the ambulance get through! So when do this kind of thing I think it back fires on them. This WW11 Vet. IS a Hero for speaking up!

They are protesting deaths at the hands of white police officers. They assembled at an awards ceremony for a 100-year old veteran of WWII, whom participated in one of the most infamous wars in human history by facing off against the tenets and administrators of religious and ethnic genocide. The location of their protest: a community college campus. Who in the hell was in charge of organizing this protest? I mean, how stupid do you have to be to pick such an inappropriate venue to get your message heard and then address your issue in a manner that strains credibility, to say the least? Gatherings like this remind me of those Westboro Baptist screwballs - they pick a vulnerable and low security setting to get on t.v. or some sort of media coverage with their message. Plus, the bandwagon, group-think pertinent to persistent victimhood - it's a little too played out. Work on an education/advancing your situation, and address your issues in a manner consistent with ACTUAL CHANGE....contribute to your cause by showing the world that you will not tolerate violence stemming from acrimony, but that you are of higher intellect and worthy of more respect than a child screaming and carrying on in public, just for the sake of causing a scene. It will not change the way things are handled by racist cops - they need to have their employment terminated and face better laws. I've even looked into - there are plenty of police forces around the country looking to fill their ranks with individuals that respect police work and abide their authority according to law. Obnoxious shit like this that just perpetuates stereotypes and continues to work against a racial unity and a better tomorrow. Be better than this!
I am sorry that it happened in the first place, as it was not an open forum, but a specific gathering to honor a vet from WW2... With that being said, the military member has ALWAYS represented and defended the abilities of the general population the opportunity for free speech. I just hope that I get my freedom honored when I club one of these pinpricks..... ;-)
