Well when the Soviet Union took over the Ukraine and murdered millions for refusing to join collective farms yeh, I would say the conflict started Decades ago during Stalin’s regime. The Russians built a fancy nuclear reactor in the Ukraine, the Ukraines just don’t appreciate millions of acres of land being ruined for generations around Chernobyl, the ingrates! Then the Soviets took over the Crimea during Obama’s watch, again decades old Soviet activity in a multi generational conflict. I remember Mitt Romney telling Obama Russia was a problem and smug Obama telling Romney “ The 70’s are calling and want their Cold War back”. So here the US wants to stick its nose into a long simmering war…say Afghanistan called and wants its Americans back, oops we’re about to commit ourselves to anther endless mess, put Afghanistan on hold. Biden was told Afghanistan was America’s longest war, Biden said “ here hold my beer”. I can’t get past the pay wall so I didn’t read but this is my take!
