This video is eye opening, especially lidar combined with quad leg designs. I am concerned about the amount of power needed to run these advanced designs? What is the difference in battery usage between wheels and legs? These video tend to highlight the positive and not the continued challenges. Great stuff coming in the future, hopefully solid state batteries will be developed and continue to improve.

LTC John Shaw - I didn't delve into the battery usage for these robots, but I would think that it will take much more batter power to operate them... That said, batteries have come a long way in a relatively short time..., and one would have to analyze how long these robots could function on a single charge before having to sit idle while recharging... I don't know if solar would charge them fast enough... Then there is the Martian winter, which is quite long and the temperatures very cold... I am sure there will be more videos addressing this issue and if I find any, will post them...

Outstanding Video! Love Robotics! BTW There is a "Chinese" Knock-Off of SPOT already available much much cheaper of course..... Freaking Reds!
