i live in Connecticut. specifically, a very conservative small town. i think i would find it difficult to request an absentee ballot, especially without jumping through a lot of hoops and providing a lot of explanations. i see no issue with not sending out ballots to every registered voter. i also do not see, as the article states, a clear invitation to fraud. the article pointed out that over 180,000 ballots could not be delivered. that means they were returned to the state. the almost 200,000 voters who did not vote in the previous 2 federal elections would not have ballots automatically mailed to them.
this article is clearly biased against accessibility of voting.
