Polls are not worth the paper they are written on. In my state the governors race, the polls said the Democrat was going to win big, but he lost really big.

A statement by Tammy Bruce, which I believe, is accurate, was polls are designed to influence the voter. That means they are of limited value. Real Clear Politics averages polls, which should mean more accuracy, but seldom yield accurate predictions. Back to the point, anyone that gains citizenship the long, hard and expensive way has to be irritated with being commingled with those that came here illegally.

Polls haven't been used as informational for a long time. They are a means to "persuade" or "nudge" people into a particular way of thinking; behavior modification on a mass scale. Pollsters use the Hegelian Dialectic to drive people to synthesis. Create a problem (created by government), fix the problem (solved by government), enslave the people (with more government).

"…through schools [media] of the world we shall disseminate a new conception of government – one that will embrace all of the collective activities of men; one that will postulate the need for scientific control and operation of economic activities in the interests of all people." - Harold Rugg, student of psychology and a disciple of John Dewey
