For those who find this story disturbing, you should watch the old Jonathan Winters film "The Loved One", a 1965 satire on the funeral business. Death is a natural part of life treated unnaturally by the commercial ventures that have evolved to remove us from dealing with it. Once upon a time (and still in some cultures) families prepared their loved ones for burial. Caring for family in death as well as life was a constructive way of grieving. Thus, it may be argued, that this tale is more rational than what most people do today in "civilized" nations

Capt Dwayne Conyers Very mixed emotions here. If it was one of my children I may have wanted them for a while after they died, but in reality, I feel this would be a torture I wouldn't be able to endure. To see them everyday would only bring back the grieving in a very increased state.
