I was a military doctor. The Pentagon's plan to cut doctors will make whole system worse.

I've never understood why the other svcs never followed this model, you know? I mean, the template is already there through this, I'd actually suggested it to a cpl of clinical friends of mine, though they don't have the time, I mean, it'd just be so cost effective, ya know?

This isn't entirely accurate. The DoD is cutting physicians in uniform as each branch aligns into one joint medical command. Medical care is shifting toward being provided by a combination of joint forces and civilians. In the Army particularly, we are seeing a decrease in providers as we were one of the largest standalone branches in terms of medical providers.
