I tagged this "Humor" because it made me laugh. Yes, laugh. I laughed when I thought of the fact that we see this experiment carried out every day (well, at least those of us who have lived with teenage children have). Children learn the language even though they tune us out as effectively as if they were living on an island somewhere halfway around the world.

Now you thought I was going to go political with this, didn't you? I could have. The Left and Right speak entirely different languages even though they share the same "island".
